Review and Approve Imported Transactions Is Now Available in the Mobile App

I'm happy to announce that Approve Transactions is now available in the Pixel Budget mobile app!

Until now, importing transactions from your bank's CSV, OFX, or QFX exports—and then reviewing and approving those imported transactions—was available only in the web app.

With this update, the review and approval process can now be completed directly from the mobile app as well. The import itself remains available only in the web app, where you upload your bank export file and complete the import wizard.

Once the transactions have been imported, you can review and approve them from either the web app or the mobile app.

How to Access It

In the mobile app:

  1. Tap the menu icon.
  2. Select Approve Transactions.

From a functionality perspective, this page is the same as the Import page in the web app, except that it doesn't include the file import functionality. The review and approval process works exactly the same way, so if you've already used the Import page in the web app, everything will feel familiar. Only the layout and controls have been optimized for mobile devices.

Why This Update Matters

Adding transaction review to the mobile app was an important milestone because it lays the foundation for an upcoming feature that I'm very excited about: adding transactions via Siri.

When that feature becomes available, transactions added through Siri won't be entered directly into your budget. Instead, they'll first appear on the Approve Transactions page, where you can quickly review, edit if necessary, and approve them before they become part of your budget.

This ensures that even transactions added with your voice go through the same review process as imported transactions, helping keep your data accurate while making it much faster to record expenses on the go.

I hope this makes reviewing imported transactions more convenient, whether you're at your desk or away from your computer. As always, I'd love to hear your feedback!

Until now, if you added a transaction with a future date, it appeared on the Transactions page along with all the other transactions. From now on, it will be listed on the new Scheduled Transactions page. When the date arrives, the scheduled transaction is automatically moved to the standard Transactions page. Pixel Budget Progress Update

Development of Pixel Budget is moving forward and the app is getting close to the Private Beta . Recently completed Several pages that don’t require programming have been created and added to the app, including the About , Contact , Terms of Service , and Privacy Policy pages. I also fixed a scrolling issue that occurred in the Android version of the mobile app , so the mobile experience should now be smoother.
