Pixel Budget Officially Launches September 9!

After five months of Beta testing, I’m excited to announce that Pixel Budget will officially launch on September 9!

The Private Beta started on April 1, followed by the Open Beta on May 23. Over these five months, feedback from Beta users has helped me find and fix bugs, improve existing features, and make Pixel Budget easier and more reliable to use.

The Beta also brought several major new features and improvements, including:

  • Scheduled Transactions – Future transactions are kept separately and automatically become regular transactions when their date arrives.
  • Recurring Transactions – Regular expenses and income can be scheduled to repeat automatically.
  • Add Transaction via Siri – Transactions can be added quickly by voice on iPhone using Siri and Apple Shortcuts, without opening the app.
  • Improved transaction approval on mobile – Imported transactions and transactions added via Siri can be reviewed and approved directly from the mobile app.
  • Smarter transaction entry – Improvements to vendor and category handling make adding transactions faster and easier.

Along the way, there have also been many smaller improvements, UI refinements, and bug fixes across both the web and mobile apps.

Improvement: Scheduled Transactions

Until now, if you added a transaction with a future date, it appeared on the Transactions page along with all the other transactions. From now on, it will be listed on the new Scheduled Transactions page. When the date arrives, the scheduled transaction is automatically moved to the standard Transactions page. If you change the date of a transaction on either of the two transaction pages, its location changes accordingly. To open the Scheduled Transactions page in the web app, select My Finances   →   Scheduled Transactions from the left-side menu. In the mobile app, tap the menu icon in the top-left corner, then select Scheduled Transactions . The introduction of the Scheduled Transactions page is the first phase of the implementation of the Recurring Transactions feature , which is coming soon. Pixel Budget Progress Update

Development of Pixel Budget is moving forward and the app is getting close to the Private Beta . Recently completed Several pages that don’t require programming have been created and added to the app, including the About , Contact , Terms of Service , and Privacy Policy pages. I also fixed a scrolling issue that occurred in the Android version of the mobile app , so the mobile experience should now be smoother.
